How to Set Up WordPress Multi-Site on Cloudways
After Setting Up a new Server with Multi-Site Capabilities, login to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to Tool and select Network Setup. Click on deactivate your plugins (in the warning message as seen below). Select Plugins, then select Deactivate and click the Apply button.
Going Back to Tool and select Network Setup page. Choose the option as per your requirement, in our case; it is sub-domains.
Edit the .htaccess and wp-config.php as instructed in the following image.

RewriteRule . index.php [L]Now go to My Sites and click on Network Admin. Click on Sites and then add a new site as per your requirement, in our example, it is site1.mydomain.com.
You can add as many sub-domains as per your need, in our case, we have added two sub-domains.
Insert the Primary Domains (Cloudways Platform)
Navigate to the Application Management areain Cloudways Platform and click on the Domain Management section:
Add the Domain Name as per your requirement
Add all your subdomains, in our case, it is support, in the Additional Domains option. Click Save Changes.
- Then, log into your domain registrar and add A Record for all your subdomains.
